Biographical Information

June 6, 1958

Born in Hartford, Connecticut. I am the oldest of three children. My brother, George, means so very much to me. He is ten years younger and absolutely irreplaceable! My sister is the Angel of my heart.

1976

Graduated High School in Fairport, New York. And then onto College in Buffalo, with a scholarship that I won for a pen and ink drawing I created. Buffalo was alot of fun. My most memorable time there was the blizzard of '77! I was safe and warm and snowed in for days!

1978

Brought me to the state of Missouri! What a change! I did not want to miss my brother and sister growing up so I followed parents here after I graduated from College. Currently I live in Kansas City, Kansas (yes, the Land of Oz!) I spent the next twenty years as a typographer and graphic artist. I also worked a second job for many years and that has now become my full-time job. I am a supervisor in an incoming telemarketing center.

1999

Wowser, almost the year 2000! I am single and still look forward to finding someone to share this wonderful adventure called life! I enjoy quiet and would rather be alone than in the wrong relationship.

2000

The year 2000 has brought me to a different place than I expected. I have not been able to work since July 1999. I have had a headache for over a year now and have had to file for disability. The headache combined with other problems have left me having to rely on others more than I am used to. I worked hard for over 20 years supporting myself. Eleven of those years I worked two jobs. Through the difficult times these past few months, I have to thank my many internet friends for saving my sanity by listening and caring about me. I am blessed with many good people around me and thank the Lord for all of them.

2001

My daily headache is still a struggle but life goes on. I am thankful for my family. I would not have survived this struggle without their help and love. Mom and Bro ~ I love you more than words can say. Special thanks goes out to my friends, for trying to understand and love me in spite of myself   ;-)

2003

December found me in the hospital with blood clots in my lungs. I had to stop hosting until I could sit up longer. I was on oxygen until July 2004 and was then cleared with a clean bill of health. No damage to my heart and lungs, thank the Lord. I missed my friends on the net but being on blood thinners tends to make you tender and I could not sit up for long periods of time. Just glad it is over and things are looking up.

2004

My daily headache is still a struggle combined with an abdominal hernia. I am working on losing weight and getting healthier! I know the second half of my life will be much better than the first! I started to make jewelry. Check out my creative side ~ Mikka Dreams Jewelry.

2005

This past year has been filled with many blessings. I have lost over 70 lbs. and am on my way to a healthier me. I am hoping to be able to have that hernia repaired by the end of the year. Hosting has been great fun in Group Room 1 and with any luck I will be hosting in the Zone tournament rooms by the end of the year. I am still single and looking for the right man ~ all applications considered! LOL

Personal Interests

Most of all I enjoy people.

My friends mean very much to me. I cherish the true ones I have found both in real life and the internet. My parents are an important part of my life! I am thankful for their love and concern for me. My brother is another cherished part of my life. His love carries me often on the dark days. Life is worth living when we know we are loved! I am especially thankful for my friend, Jennifer who lives in Texas. We met on ebay when I bid on some of her items and have become great friends. She and I are currently sharing my Mikka Dreams Jewelry website.

 

The real joys in my life are Riley, Randa and Jerod.

They are my friend's children and a very special part of my life. I have known their mom for over 20 years. The most precious gift I have ever received was from her and her husband, I shared with them the birth of their son, Jerod and held him when he was only minutes old.

 

I love playing Spades on the Internet Gaming Zone but
my real passion is Hosting.

I started out playin spades on the Zone and promptly got addicted to playing on Case's Ladder. It was tons of fun and alot of stress and is no longer an addiction! Making it to #4 is good enough for me! (It did not last long, but hey I did it!) I also played on the Burbs Ladder and made it to #1 on the Komitack Ladder with the help of two great pards, Spadesguru and _Roger_Wabbit_. Currently, I am really enjoying hosting spades with some wonderful friends and looking forward to starting a new host training program soon.

 

Another recent joy is playing Asheron's Call on the Zone.

I can only say that all the many friends I have made within this game (from around the world) have enriched my daily life and put many smiles on my face. I am truly blessed with much goodness in my life. Look for me on the server Leafcull playing as Xiana Rose or Mikka Rose.

 

I have to be creative to survive.

One of my favorite things to do is make gifts and send them out to all my friends and family! The best gift we can give anyone, is the gift of ourselves. I make my own soap and shampoo and candles. My newest hobby is making jewelry. Check out my creativity here.
