Since April of 1999, Wild Fire Tourneys has been bringing you some of the
best Tournaments on the Internet Gaming Zone. We pride ourselves in hosting fair
and fun tournaments with some of the very best hosts on the Zone. We hope that
you have enjoyed our tourneys and will continue to play with us!
A message from
daPrincess:
I find it hard to believe that two years have gone by since Wild Fire
Tourneys began it's adventure in hosting. I started the group with one
intention: to make hosting easier by forming a support system for hosts. The group began with my good friend Lille-My and I and a small
plan to host together. Well we never did host much together but the foundation
was laid for a group that just seems to keep on growing. Wild_FiresFun and
free_trump_host soon joined our little family. free_trump_host became the first
Wild Fire's co-director. I want to thank her for all her time and efforts. It
was the strength of the first Wild Fire hosts that laid a solid foundation for
the rest to follow.
Mentioning all our fine hosts would be very hard to do but special
recognition goes to a few more. Jennerbug_ was the second c0-director of Wild
Fire Tourneys. With Jen's dedication to quality hosting and training, Wild
Fire's kept on growing. Delight_Hostess was soon assisting us in the growing
duties. I cannot thank Jenn or Delight enough for all of their friendship and
assistance. I am honored to call them both friends. You will still find both of
them hosting "Dreamin' Spades". Stop by and have some fun with them.
They are two of the zone's finest!
This past year has been full of many changes on the zone. We just keep
adapting and moving forward. I could not begin to count the number of times I
have changed and updated our macros and rules over the past two years. With
suggestions from both players and hosts, I am confident that our rules ensure
that you are playing in a very fair tournament. Our format list is long and
varied in hopes of helping you all find a favorite! If you host, please feel
free to use our formats even if you are not a Wild Fire host. Our formats are
for the players and we are glad to share them. The only thing I ask is that you
don't change the name of them because it gets confusing and many of them are
confusing enough! You can mention Wild Fire's if you like, but it is not
necessary.
I cannot thank Mut_On_Fire enough for all of his fine work for Wild Fire's.
He has seen us through many rough times and always been there for me. He is an
excellent host and I could not ask for a better friend. Many times Mut's
dedication has pulled Wild Fire's up and kept us going. Thank you Mut for being
you! And Wild Fires wishes you well in all your future endeavors.
With Mut and Toothfairy_Host as co-director's, Wild Fire's moved into the
year 2000 still growing. I want to thank them both for all the hours spent on
getting results in for Zstoc and our TOC's. Our increase in tournaments and
players caused us to suspend holding a TOC...but Wild Fire TOC's are back
beginning with April of 2001.
With 2001 upon us, I am confident
that Wild Fire Tournaments will continue to grow and continue to bring you the
fine tournaments you have come to expect from us. I want to thank all of the
Wild Fire hosts, past and present, for being a part of my life and for being my
friends. I have greatly appreciated all the confidence in me and the support I
have received throughout my health battles.
And a very special thank you to all of
our players, thank you for playing in our tourneys, for laughing with us, for
smiling with us, for bearing with us during the difficult times and for your
continued support and appreciation of our efforts. May the years to come be our
best ever!
